We made ANZAC Biscuits!

In Room 11, we have been busy learning about ANZAC Day. We learnt about some ways in which we commemorate the war, such as making wreaths, observing a minutes silence, wearing a red poppy and eating ANZAC biscuits. Back when the war was on, it took about 3 months for the boats to deliver the soldiers their food, so it had to be long-lasting. The soldiers Mums, wives and girlfriends would bake them biscuits to let them know that they were thinking of them. Today we call them ANZAC biscuits. Our class was luck to have the opportunity to bake some ANZAC biscuits and eat them. They were delicious and crunchy! Here are some photos.
