Weaving with Whaea Keri
Last term Whaea Keri came to our classroom. She came with strips of paper. We were going to be making a FISH but we were weaving it. The instructions were quite confusing because you had to fold this and fold that. My colours were this creamy colour and pink. It got a bit easier at the end and we got to draw faces on our fish. Mine looked kind of weird and not really like a fish. There were also other people who struggled too. When we were finished we got to either help people or play with our fish. It was really fun making the fish. I wish we could do some more weaving.

Cluster Sports Day - Netball
Last Friday 22 May was Cluster sports I chose Netball and some adults came with us it was year 5 & 6 who went. We walked to the Netball North Harbour courts and played there. There were 5 schools they were Onepoto, Saint
Mary's, Northcote Primary, Willow Park and Sunnybrae
the umpires were from Northcote Intermediate. There were 5 matches we lost all of them.We also split up into groups my group was group 3 the schools that we VS were Northcote Primary three times then Saint Mary’s then Willow Park it was really fun it was my first time playing Netball my position was C for centre it was fun being centre because you start in the circle and when the umpire blows the whistle you have to pass it to one of your team mates.

THE DAY THE SOLDIER CAME TO SUNNYBRAE
On Friday 24 April a soldier was at the door! He had a piece of paper in his hand and was asking people if they wanted to join the War. You could be a nurse or a soldier. I was a soldier and Simaima was a nurse to help people in the War. The soldiers name was Sergeant Weaver! he was wearing camouflage. He got all of the class to say soldier or nurse all the boys and me and Ahlianah and May we all were soldiers and mostly all the girls were nurses!
